What to watch

1. Control of the glass

The Kings out-rebounded the Suns by 22 over the course of back-to-back wins this week.  They’ll have their hands full against a Clippers team featuring a frontline of Griffin and Jordan.  Fortunately for the Kings, the Clippers’ depth at the bigs positions leaves much to be desired.  Pay close attention to what the role players (Mbah a Moute, Thompson, McLemore, Travis Outlaw and Patrick Patterson) give the Kings in addition to how Cousins performs on the glass today.

2. Defending the three

The Kings were torched outside the arc by the Clippers in their previous matchup earlier this month.  Los Angeles shot 12-of-24 from 3-point land en route to a 110-101 victory at Sleep Train Arena.  The Kings have played better defense lately and will need to continue that trend against a Clippers team that features a bevy of shooters.

3. Can Isaiah Thomas keep rolling?

Thomas has been one of the few bright spots for the Kings this season.  The third-year point guard is averaging 18.4 points per game, second only to Cousins, and has posted an astronomical player efficiency rating of 24.94.  He’s also scored in double figures in every single game, a feat no other King has been able to accomplish this year.  There’s a good chance Thomas continues his early season tear despite the difficult matchup.
