Shawn “Wayne” Thornton — aka the Third Greatest NHL Player of All Time — scored his third goal last night, tripling the amount of goals he scored last season. His career high in goals scored in the NHL is six, happening in the 2008-2009 Bruins campaign.
Over the summer we had this prediction:
He’s getting 60 goals this season.
Boom.
Bank it. It’s happening. We’re sticking with that prediction. He’s taking home the “Rocket” Richard Trophy next summer, leaving Crosby and Ovechkin crying in their cartons of milk.
