How do NHL Odds Work?
NHL odds tell you the profit that is available on a particular bet. They also highlight the implied probability of the bet succeeding. We have explained how to read NHL odds in detail below.
Explaining NHL Odds
Sportsbooks release NHL odds on every game of the season. They also provide long-term NHL odds – known as futures bets – on markets such as the Stanley Cup winner and the Hart Memorial Trophy winner.

If the NHL odds start with a minus, the numbers tell you the amount you would need to wager to win $100. In this example, a $180 bet on the Avs would net you a $100 profit. You always get your stake (bet amount) back when you win, so your return would be $280.
If the odds begin with a plus, the numbers highlight the profit on offer if you were to place a successful $100 bet. In this example, a $100 bet on the Bolts at +160 would net you a $160 profit. Your total return would be $260.
You can bet any amount you like. For example, a $20 bet on the Avs at would earn you a $11.11 profit. A $20 bet on the Tampa Bay Lightning would earn you a $32 profit. The smaller potential profit on Colorado explains that it is the favorite, with a higher implied chance of winning the game.

Game Odds

Parlay Odds
A parlay is a bet that combines two or more predictions. For example, let’s say you like three wagers on a particular day:
