One of the biggest stories to come out of the pro wrestling and WWE world in 2018 was that of former Universal Champion Roman Reigns announcing his battle with leukemia on the October 22nd episode of Monday Night Raw.

The announcement from Reigns came with the news that The Big Dog would be relinquishing his Title and stepping away from the ring as he undergoes treatment to fight the disease.

Following his WWE departure, Roman Reigns made his first public appearance at a college football game, showing support for his alma mater Georgia Tech as the team battled the rival Georgia Bulldogs.

In a new interview conducted for WrestlingNews.co, fellow WWE Raw star Braun Strowman offered an update on Roman Reigns’ current condition.

“[Roman Reigns is] doing really well”, said Strowman. “I think he’s in Hawaii right now on vacation seeing some of his family so everything is going good.

“It’s just a day by day thing,” Strowman furthered. “I know he’s doing his treatments and stuff at home. When I speak to him, he sounds well and says he feels well. I trust him with everything he’s ever told me.”

As of this writing there is no word on if or when Roman Reigns will return to the ring for WWE, as he likely will not make a return to wrestling until he is officially in remission from the leukemia.

During his announcement on Raw back in October, Reigns revealed his current battle with leukemia is not the first time he has battled the disease, as he was first diagnosed eleven years ago and after an initial round of treatment he went into remission.

As for Braun Strowman, during the interview he was asked about his own in-ring status, and the big man noted “I’m just trying to figure out what’s going on.”

As noted, Strowman was pulled from his Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar at the PPV as he is not yet cleared to return to the ring and WWE has decided to go in another direction as the company kicks off the road to WrestleMania.
