Could Mike Wallace be heading back to the AFC North?

Since the Vikings released Wallace, he doesn’t have a contract that expires at 4 p.m. today and can be signed at any time.
Wallace left the Steelers to sign with the Dolphins in 2013 and caught 140 passes in two years. He caught five touchdown passes in 2013 and 10 in 2014, but the Dolphins traded him to the Vikings for a fifth-round pick a year ago Sunday.
Last season, Wallace caught just 39 passes. That was his lowest total since 2009, his rookie season. His 12.1 yards per reception also was a career low. Wallace can’t stretch a defense like he did in Pittsburgh. He led the NFL with 19.4 yards per reception as a rookie and gained 21 yards per catch in 2010.
The Ravens are desperate for help at wide receiver. Kamar Aiken led the team with 75 receptions in 2015. Steve Smith was second on the team with 46, but he’ll be 37 next season and coming off an Achilles’ tear.
Wallace is no spring chicken, either. He’ll be 30 next season. Even if he is wearing a different shade of purple next season and faces the Steelers twice a year, it’s difficult to see Wallace making the Steelers regret his departure.
