Chicago Bears Team Wins

The best NFL betting sites have projected the Bears for 6.0 wins in 2022, which is on par with their win total from last season.

Chicago finished 6-11 in 2021 before parting with former head coach Matt Nagy.

While the Bears will begin the season with tough matchups against San Francisco and Green Bay, Chicago’s schedule will get much easier from there.

Beginning in Week 3, the Bears will play the Texans, Giants, and Commanders in three of their next four contests.

Chicago also has a stretch of winnable games late in the season.

Chicago will play the Lions, Falcons, and Jets in Weeks 10-12, which should give the Bears a chance to add to their win total before their Week 14 bye.

Chicago Bears Prediction

After winning eight games or more in three consecutive seasons, the Bears took a step back in 2021.

Chicago suffered its first losing season since 2017, finishing 6-11, good for third place in the NFC North.

The Bears decided to move forward without head coach Matt Nagy, replacing him with former Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.

While Eberflus should help bring stability to the Bears’ defense, Chicago’s season will likely rest on the right arm of Justin Fields.

Fields struggled as a rookie but showed improvement late in the season. He finished his rookie campaign with 1,870 passing yards with seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

In 2022, new offensive coordinator Luke Getz will likely encourage the former Ohio State quarterback to use his athleticism more than he did as a rookie. Fields showed off his running ability in Week 8 against the 49ers, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Chicago still has plenty of playmakers on offense too.

Darnell Mooney, David Montgomery, and Cole Kmet all figure to play major roles in the Bears’ offense this year.

Look for Fields to move the pocket with more play-action bootlegs and designed runs, which should help the Bears move the ball on offense.

With one of the easiest schedules in the league, it’s not unreasonable to expect some improvement from Fields.

Take the Bears to win more than six games in 2022.

Chicago Bears Next Game Pick

Save for the Minnesota Vikings, the NFC North has been a complete disaster this season. While Detroit and Chicago were expected to finish at the bottom of the division standings, these two organizations seem to be trending in opposite directions at the moment.

Bears fans have to be enthused by the way that Justin Fields has developed this season. The second-year quarterback has been dynamic in the pocket and has a penchant for turning broken plays into first downs.

Last week, he threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions while adding a career-high 178 rushing yards and a score versus the Miami Dolphins.

Meanwhile, Detroit is fresh off of snapping a five-game slide with an ugly 15-9 win at home over the Green Bay Packers. The Lions’ once potent offense has scored 17 points or fewer in three of its last four games.

With the Bears’ defense playing well and Fields showing flashes under center, it’s hard not to like Chicago in this one.

Take the Bears to cover the spread at home against the Lions on Sunday.

2022 Chicago Bears Regular Season Schedule

Chicago is expected to have one of the easiest regular season schedules in the NFL.

Based on projected win totals, the Bears have the fourth easiest schedule in the league.

While that might be the case, Chicago will still have to endure a few challenging stretches in 2022.

The Bears open the season against a pair of potential playoff teams in San Francisco and Green Bay. Then, in Weeks 7-9, Chicago will play road games against the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys before returning home for a matchup versus the Miami Dolphins.

Another late-season stretch against Green Bay, Philadelphia, and Buffalo in Weeks 13-16 could make it hard for the Bears to reach the .500-mark.

There are also a few winnable games on the schedule too. Weeks 3 and 4 bring matchups against the Houston Texans and New York Giants. The Bears will also have a chance to string together some wins in Week 10 when they play the Lions, Falcons, and Jets in consecutive weeks.

Check out some of the key games on the Bears schedule below.
