Kobe Bryant talks presidential election, who he supports

Utah Jazz v Los Angeles Lakers

Sports fans continue to wonder who some of the biggest superstars on the planet such as Kobe Bryant endorse in the presidential election.

Bryant isn’t shy about talking about who he supports, though he doesn’t go out of his way to officially drop the name.

In an interview with Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus, Bryant stressed the importance of influencing change by educating youth and encouraged everyone to vote. He also framed who he supports based on his past:

“I think we don’t have to all randomly guess what side of the fence that I’m on,” Bryant said. “For those that support the opposite of what you believe my point of view…and if you know me for many years, I think you know what candidate I’m supporting…then God bless you, that’s your point of view.”

Bryant has openly supported Barack Obama in the past and stood behind the efforts of superstars such as LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, who have been outspoken this year as advocates for change and social justice.

So no, his position isn’t hard to figure out.

Regardless of a fan’s stance in comparison to Kobe’s, all sports fans should follow his lead in terms of educating oneself and getting out to vote in the upcoming national election.
