The Chargers were coming off arguably their biggest win of the season, when they fought back from a 16-point deficit to beat the Steelers at Heinz Field on Sunday night, and yet fans still didn’t show up in big numbers to support their team at StubHub Center on Sunday.
There were actually nearly as many Bengals fans as Chargers supporters, which is odd, given that Cincinnati has no chance of qualifying for the playoffs, while Los Angeles still has a chance to win the AFC West title.
I don’t know how many people are here at StubHub but I can guarantee you, there are more fans here than at SDCCU Stadium today. #YouLoseSD pic.twitter.com/6Yi6jnr151

In keeping consistent with what I’ve done at each game this season, here’s the crowd at #Chargers #Bengals game at Stubhub Center, start of second quarter. pic.twitter.com/AwhMxDAnz4

The Chargers have had attendance issues all season, as StubHub Center ranked dead-last in the league (25,383) heading into Sunday’s game. This issue isn’t going away anytime soon, and it will be interesting to see if the league attempts to intervene at some point in the future, especially given that the Chargers could be hosting a playoff game.
