The Bad

Okay, so we got the good out of the way. Now, let’s get to the bad.

1. The Sixers gave up another lead to lose it all

Thursday night was a playoff game. The number three seed taking on the number one seed. The Bucks needed that win to ensure they have home-court throughout the playoffs. The Sixers needed that win because the Sixers need to re-build their confidence heading into the postseason.

For about three quarters, it felt like the Sixers were in great shape. They had total control of the game for the most part, but by the end, the Bucks proved precisely why they are sitting in the driver’s seat of the Eastern Conference. They were hitting everything, and the Sixers were allowing it. Hey Sixers, play some defense, you cowards.

2. Embiid’s reckless play keeps getting him hurt

Embiid, fortunately, played in 37 minutes on Thursday after missing a few matchups. While his effort is appreciated, the recklessness could tone down a bit while he’s still dealing with some issues. There were two moments during Thursday’s game that made it feel like Embiid was going to end up missing some time moving forward.

Before the first half ended, Jojo had to leave the court early while limping due to an ankle injury. That wouldn’t complete his night, but it was still concerning at the time. It’s clear how valuable Embiid is to this team because with and without him is like night and day for the Sixers. But it would be wildly unfortunate if he would have to miss a game or two because of a reckless play.
