The Patriots are AFC East Division Champions for an eight consecutive year (NFL Record). Also with that win, the Patriots have clinched a very important first round bye. This had to be the most complete game for the Patriots all year as after the first quarter it was lights out. Not to mention it was a turnover-free game for Brady and the Patriots.

It was a slow start for Brady and the Patriots as he went 0 for 6 for 0 yards to start the game before finishing the game by going 16-of-32 for 188 yards. It was a great turnaround effort by the Patriots.

The Patriots opening drive started in and three-and-out and a punt by the Patriots but that did not stop the drive as Denver fumbled the punt and the Patriots recovered. The Patriots would then have drive that did not do much but fortunitly they were in field goal range and would take a  3-0 lead.

Denver would go and tie the game later in the quarter. The Patriots would then pound in their only touchdown early in the second quarter when LeGarrette Blount found his way in the end zone and took a 10-3 lead. The Patriots tacked on two more field goals and that would be enough to win the game 16 to 3.

Knock on wood but Stephen Gostkowski went perfect today hitting all of his field goals and extra points. So this weeks update on Gostowski is a good one!

With that win, Brady is now 50-8 in temps under 40 degrees. The Patriots now get ready to play a Christmas eve showdown vs. the Jets next Saturday.
