The Final Four is Set

The year’s most exciting tournament is almost over. After another thrilling round, the Final Four has been determined. Gonzaga, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Oregon have survived against every team they have faced.

April Fool’s day is the date set for the next round of games. South Carolina will face its toughest challenge yet in Gonzaga. They have only one loss on the season and recently dismantled Xavier, beating them by over 20 points. South Carolina is trying to make history of their own. In school history, South Carolina has only had four tournament wins. This year they’ve equaled that total. With one more win, they could contend for the National Championship.

The second game will show feature UNC and Oregon. In this match up, it couldn’t be any more different. North Carolina has made the Final Four 20 times. Oregon has only made it one other time; the inaugural tournament in 1939. North Carolina took part in another thriller to make it to the Final Four. With Kentucky down by 3 and under 10 seconds left, Malik Monk sunk a triple to tie the game. North Carolina came thundering down the floor and sophomore Luke Maye sunk the game winner as time expired. Another underestimated player makes an amazing play. Isn’t that the story of the tournament?

The tournament is coming to a close, and another March Madness will be in the books. If the Final Four is as entertaining as the rest of the tournament, we are in for a treat.
