Redskins quarterback Mark Sanchez is known for a few things — most of which he’s probably not all that proud of.

Sanchez is labeled as being another highly-drafted USC product that never really panned out, and also, for his turnover issues. He has ball security issues, and also struggles reading coverages, even being a veteran.

And, most importantly, Sanchez is known for the “Butt Fumble,” which took place in 2012, on Thanksgiving Day. NFL fans still have a laugh about it to this day.

That’s why he was asked about it by reporters on Wednesday, as he prepares to make his first start in years in Week 14, and a funny exchange followed.

“I don’t follow,” Sanchez said, which resulted in the room cracking up with laughter.

Sanchez then addressed the question, taking a shot at the reporter for the “low-hanging fruit” in doing so.

“No, listen… who cares,” Sanchez said. “It’s one play. You just move on. I prefer to remember the good stuff.”

That’s the right answer, and to be honest, it was a pretty stupid question that he had to deal with in the first place. A play six years ago has no impact on the team’s Week 14 matchup.
