The Steelers were the unfortunate recipient of arguably the worst penalty call of the entire season so far, and it came during a pivotal moment in Sunday’s game against the Saints.

Pittsburgh was clinging to a 3-0 lead at the time, enjoying the momentum in the game, on the road at the Superdome, keeping the fans out of the game. The Saints went for it on fourth down, with Drew Brees just lofting the ball down the field in the end zone, intended for Alvin Kamara. There was literally no contact at all from Steelers cornerback Joe Haden, yet he was flagged for pass interference.

Jim Nantz made sure to point out how little contact there was, and we agree. Mark Ingram rushed for a one-yard touchdown on the play that followed, and the Saints took their first lead in the game, somehow.
