HOW ENES KANTER STAYS STRONG IN CHALLENGING SITUATIONS

Being on the basketball court and giving it all out is not easy when there is so much going on inside. Any sportsperson, whether a swimmer or an athlete can confirm that staying internally calm and not worrying about the life issues is what makes them perform to the most of their abilities. But how can you do it when something that cannot but bother you happens in the country of your origin? This is something Mr. Kanter knows an answer to.

Fear And Hatred On The NBA Court

Born and raised in Switzerland to the Turkish parents, player of the American league must have gone through lots of internal struggles and challenges. While some people cope with this by finding a new passion in life be it online betting platforms, such as the Best Online Casinos to Play in 2019, or a totally new kind of occupation, it is all about finding something extremely motivating to move on. For Enes, it has always been basketball. But what exactly was wrong with the outside world?

Main struggles of a famous basketball player began back in the childhood with his growing interest to the groups of more pacifistic views on Islam, known as the Hizmet Movement. Below is the actual timeline of events leading Mr. Kanter to loss of Turkish citizenship and arrest warrant:

  • Youth passion: from the very beginning of adolescence, Enes found the views of the Hizmet appealing to his personal life values and opinions. Unfortunately enough, the person streamlining the movement was a persona non grata back in Turkey. So, that is how things started to escalate;
  • Unfortunate twist: after moving to the US, player’s favors of the group has been steadily increasing. However, some action of his has changed this game forever. After the failed coup d’etat in Turkey, he heavily criticized the country’s president by comparing him to the world’s most monstrous image of Hitler;
  • Passport cancellation: as things escalated, Enes lost his citizenship and was even scared to go to London to play for his team due to the arrest warrant issued by Turkey earlier.

However, all these unfortunate events did not impact his basketball performance and ability to play the game as good as he usually can. This is the highest manifestation of the sportsman professionalism and devotion to the one thing that really matters despite all irritating factors from the world beyond the court.
