Vikings aren’t happy about missed calls in loss to Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys v Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison was in no mood to hide his contempt for the officiating during Thursday night’s 17-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

In fact, Robison lashed out at a number of important calls he felt the crew missed, including a clear foul on Minnesota’s failed two point conversion attempt at the end of the game.

“At the end of the day, that’s a game-changing play and you’ve got to make those calls,” Robison said, via ESPN. “At the end of the game, (Sam) Bradford gets hit in the face. That’s an opportunity for us to score and tie the ballgame, but it doesn’t get called.”

Cowboys defensive lineman Cedric Thornton clearly made contact with Bradford’s helmet and facemask as he attempted to throw. His pass sailed high, and the Vikings soon after lost the game after failing to recover the onside kick.

Robison also complained about missed penalties on Dak Prescott’s 13-yard scramble on 3rd-and-11 in the first half. Instead of a potential punt, the Cowboys went on to finish the drive with a touchdown.

“It gets to a point where it’s too frustrating,” Robison said. “I don’t know. I’m probably going to get fined for this, I understand that, but somebody has got to step up and say something.”

Robison clarified his in-the-moment comments on Twitter:

The Vikings are now 6-6, with six losses in their last seven games.
