Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction
After a disastrous campaign under former head coach Urban Meyer, the Jaguars hired a veteran coaching staff in hopes of getting the most out of their recent No. 1 NFL Draft Picks.
Jacksonville selected Trevor Lawrence and Travon Walker No. 1 overall in back-to-back NFL Drafts in 2021 and 2022.
Former Super Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson was brought in to revive the Jaguars’ franchise.
Pederson also brought in former LA Chargers head coach Mike McCoy to mentor Lawrence as the team’s quarterback coach.
In fact, the Jaguars’ offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and passing game coordinator have all had extensive experience coaching quarterbacks, which bodes well for Lawrence’s development in 2022.
A quick glance at Jacksonville’s schedule reveals a handful of winnable games this year.
With early season games at home against Houston and the New York Giants, Jacksonville should enter its Week 11 bye with at least three wins. However, all three of the Jaguars’ winnable late-season games will come away from home, which could make it challenging for them to reach seven wins this year.
Take the Jaguars to finish under 6.5 wins (+105) in 2022.

Jacksonville Jaguars Schedule and Results
The Jaguars have a relatively easy schedule this season but are still projected for only 6.5 wins in 2022.
Part of the reason for that is Jacksonville will open the season with a brutal stretch of games.
The Jaguars will see seven potential playoff opponents in the first 10 weeks of the NFL season before the schedule begins to lighten up following their Week 11 bye.
Scroll down below for a complete breakdown of the Jaguars’ preseason and regular season schedule.
2022 Jacksonville Jaguars Preseason Schedule
Jacksonville finished the preseason with a disappointing 0-4 overall record but the Jaguars still flashed enough progress to give fans reason to be optimistic heading into the year.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence saw plenty of preseason action, throwing for 228 yards and a touchdown versus Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Jaguars fans also got their first taste of No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker, who is expected to form a fearsome pass-rushing duo with fellow edge rusher Josh Allen.

2022 Jacksonville Jaguars Regular Season Schedule
Based on projected win totals, the Jaguars own the 12th easiest schedule in the NFL. Jacksonville’s schedule also ranks as the second-easiest in the AFC West, behind only the Indianapolis Colts.
The Jaguars will play three of their first four regular season games away from home in 2022. Jacksonville opens Week 1 on the road in Washington against Carson Wentz and the Commanders. Then, Jacksonville will host the Colts in Week 2 before heading to Los Angeles and Philadelphia in Week 3 and 4.
After playing Denver, Las Vegas, and Kansas City in consecutive weeks between Week 7 and 10, the Jaguars will get a much-needed bye week.
Following the Week 11 bye, things get a bit easier for Jacksonville.
The Jaguars have three winnable games down the stretch of the season, including potential victories against the Detroit Lions, New York Jets, and Houston Texans.

Jacksonville Jaguars Roster
Jacksonville narrowed down its roster to 53 players following its final preseason game.
The Jaguars roster suffered significant turnover on both sides of the ball in 2022.
Zay Jones and Christian Kirk were acquired to give Lawrence a few more reliable wide receivers to throw the ball to on the outside. Lawrence will also welcome back his former teammate and 2021 first round pick Travis Etienne, who suffered a season-ending injury before stepping on the field as a rookie.
On defense, the Jaguars added Travon Walker, the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, along with linebacker Foyesade Oluokun and defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi to what should be one of the league’s most improved units.
