We may have reached a new level for interactive basketball courts. Nike recently teamed up with AKQA and debuted the world’s first full-sized reactive LED basketball court in Shanghai, China.
The court will help athletes train and adds an interactive, engaging element to a normal training session. It mimics drills based on Kobe Bryant’s own training regimen, and features motion tracking and reactive LED visualization.
Bryant played on the court while in Shanghai for Nike‘s summer-long RISE event. He trained with 30 other players while testing out Nike’s new toy.
It’s like a mix between Tron and basketball—a court we’d all love to play on.
